Pastor Larry Carrier has many years experience in the ministry, having served as assistant pastor and music director of churches in Texas, Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania and South Carolina. He is an alumnus of the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati, where he majored in Music Education with a proficiency in voice. He has been music director of Morningside since February of 1988. He and his wife, Eny, have four children: Robin, Randy, Ranya and Rochelle. Both Robin and Ranya are married to pastors. (Ranya is married to the assistant pastor of Morningside.) Larry is also Production Coordinator of Sound Forth, the music division of Bob Jones University Press. He has written and arranged music for many years, and has compiled and published a collection of old-time gospel songs which Morningside uses as a supplemental hymnal. It is his desire to serve the Lord through a Christ- honoring music ministry at Morningside Baptist Church. Return To Top

BA in Pastoral Studies from Bob Jones University - 1992 Morningside Baptist Church Assistant Pastor since 1993 I thank the Lord for saving me at an early age and allowing me the privilege of being reared in a Godly home. I praise God for putting me in the ministry at Morningside Baptist Church. My desire is to faithfully serve the Lord and the people of Morningside as I seek to evangelize Greenville for Christ. I consider my ministry to include evangelizing the lost, edifying the believer, equipping Christians to do the work of the ministry and exalting Jesus Christ in all that I do. Return To Top

BA in Bible, Bob Jones University -- 1996 Morningside Baptist Church Youth Pastor since 1996 Jeff Webb is a native of Greenville, SC. He was saved at the Wild's Christian Camp in North Carolina, at the age of 13. Jeff eventually went back to the Wilds to serve on the summer staff as a counselor. He also traveled with Neighborhood Bible Time for one summer as a teen evangelist. Jeff surrendered to the ministry while in high school and started full time as Youth Director at Morningside, after graduating from Bob Jones University. Jeff married his high school sweetheart, Bethany, whom he met in the youth group at Morningside. My burden for teenage young people is grounded in James 1:22, which states, "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." It is my desire at Morningside Baptist Church to guide the youth in doing what they know to do so they can reap the rewards of complete surrender and obedience to the Lord. Return To Top |

BA in Bible from Bob Jones University -- 1955 Morningside Baptist Church Seniors Pastor since 2001 Myron Williams, a native of Toledo, Ohio, had the privilege of serving the Lord as Pastor of six churches in Ohio, Michigan, and New York states over a period of 40 years. For the last 17 years he has served as Director of AFC Ministries, Inc., an outreach ministry that has allowed him to personally take the Gospel message to 30 countries. Myron, with his wife Faye have considered it a great privilege to be able to serve the Lord together with the Senior Adults here at Morningside since 1996. The Williams are the parents of 9 children who are serving the Lord around the world. Return To Top

BA in Bible Education from Bob Jones University - 1985 Morningside Baptist Church Hospital Pastor since 2001 Pastor Jeff Heath has many years of experience in a variety of church ministries: teacher in a Christian school, Junior/Senior advisor, youth pastor, associate pastor, and pastor. He has also served for many years as volunteer hospital chaplain at the University Medical Center in Greenville, NC. In addition to being Hospital Visitation Pastor for Morningside, Jeff serves as Registrar at Bob Jones University. Jeff was saved as a fourth grader in Greenville, NC and while a freshman at Bob Jones University, he accepted the Lord's call to full-time Christian service. Pastor Jeff was ordained to the Gospel ministry in 1985. Pastor Jeff Heath and his wife, Beth, have three children: Sarah, Scott, and Sonya. Jeff's life verse is Isaiah 40:31, "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Bachelor of Science, Accounting, Bob Jones University, 1992 Morningside Baptist Church Administrative Assistant since 1995 God directed me to attend university in South Carolina after growing up in Midland, Michigan. Upon completion of my schooling in the spring of 1994, I joined the staff at Morningside to serve in the area of administrative and financial management. My ministry at Morningside is to provide proper stewardship of God's finances in the ministry. This necessitates the correct accounting of funds which is in accordance with legal guidelines and which provides good information to make wise financial decisions. Return To Top

BA in Christian Education, Bob Jones University - 1967 Having the privilege of growing up in a Christian home and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior at age six, John was greatly influenced by the many missionaries that regularly visited his church. After entering college with the goal of becoming a civil engineer, the Lord used a summer missionary experience to challenge John for the ministry. In July of 1969, John and his wife Merrianna were accepted for missionary service in Brazil. During a ministry that spanned twenty-four years, they were involved in both church planting and the training of national workers. In 1993 John accepted the invitation to become director of Open Door Baptist Missions. Besides administrative responsibilities, he has had the opportunity to visit numerous mission fields and to represent the mission in churches, Christian colleges and conferences. His desire is to challenge God's people regarding missions, as well as to encourage and assist those who are serving on the field. |

BA in Theology Studies from Palavra de Vida - Brazil Currently working on Master in Divinity at Bob Jones University Serving in the ministry as a pastor since -2003 Morningside Hispanic interim Pastor - 2006 I am from Encarnacion, Paraguay. My wife is Michelle Silva and we have three children Mikeila, Iana, and Esteban. Currently we are living in Greenville, SC. I praise God for giving me the opportunity to know Jesus as my Savior since my youth and I thank God for those that He put in my way to train me through their ministry and life, since my first time to serve the Lord as a youth leader when I was 14 years old until today. My deepest desire is to serve the Lord with all my strength wherever He wants for me and my family to be. I am so thankful to God for this opportunity to serve Him in the staff of Morningside Baptist Church in the Hispanic church. My prayer is that I will be used of the Lord here and that the glory and honor will be for God. |
