Missions is the heartbeat of Morningside. At our annual missions conference which is usually held in the spring of the year, we have an opportunity to hear from three different missionaries as they present their works and burdens for their particular field.

Our Missions Conference has a two-fold purpose. It is designed to be a blessing to the missionary, and it is designed to be a blessing to our Morningsiders. We endeavor to be a blessing to the missionaries as we have opportunity to hear about their works and take them on for prayer support. We have opportunities to spend time with them at meals, and we also collect special gifts that will meet individual needs for each missionary family. These gifts are given so that we can meet some of their practical needs.

Our Missions Conference is not just for missionaries, it is also for Morningsiders. As our Morningsiders hear the missionary reports, they receive a burden to pray and give to missions. At our annual Missions Conference we take faith promise commitments as we endeavor to give above our tithes to the work of missions for the coming year.

The greatest blessing of all is when Morningsiders are not only burdened to pray and to give, but sometimes they are called to go. It is such a joy to see our Morningsiders called to be missionaries as they have had their heart burdened to the work of missions year round at Morningside but also specifically during our Missions Conference.
